Transportation Endorsement
This one-day course prepares OFA Level 1 (or equivalent) and OFA Level 2 first aid attendants with the skills and knowledge needed to transport injured or ill workers to medical aid. Participants are required to perform spinal immobilization and patient transport skills as outlined in the WorkSafeBC OFA Transportation Endorsement Instructor Guide and Training Manual.

Prerequisites: Hold a valid OFA level 1 or 2 (or equivalent), Be a minimum of 16 years old, Be in good health & physical condition (course is physically demanding)
Occupational First Aid (Level 1) Includes:
- Role and duty of the OFA Personnel
- Circle of Care concept, SETUP scene assessment and mechanism of injury
- nitial and secondary assessments, including the ABC´s - Airway, Breathing, Circulation, along with history taking
- Patient positioning and packaging
- Assessing for Breathing
- Plenty of hands-on practice and scenarios
Certification: Valid for 3 years, from the day of certification
